PBL employs a four-fold strategic framework designed to ensure scalable and sustainable impact:
- Principal Strategy: Financial Sustainability & Market-Based Approaches
The foundational strategy for all PBL programming is the financial sustainability of both the organization and its stakeholders. We are committed to a “win-win” model that utilizes a market-based approach.
PBL intervenes in both the supply and demand chains, specifically focusing on health, hygiene, and Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) products. To ensure a reliable supply of high-quality materials, we establish corporate partnerships with market leaders. Simultaneously, we cultivate women entrepreneurs within the community to meet local demand. This dual focus ensures that our interventions lead to healthier lives for adolescents and women of reproductive age while fostering economic independence.
- Partnership Strategy: Collaborative Excellence
PBL operates on the principle of mutual dignity for both individuals and organizations. Our partnership model is built on the philosophy of “Winning Together.” We collaborate with stakeholders under transparent, mutually beneficial arrangements that respect the institutional integrity of our partners.
- Program Strategy: The 4A Framework
For all initiatives and service delivery, PBL adheres to the internationally recognized 4A Framework to ensure sustainable development and effective impact:
- Accessibility: Ensuring services reach the most marginalized.
- Availability: Maintaining a consistent supply of resources and expertise.
- Adaptability: Tailoring programs to the specific cultural and social context.
- Acceptability: Designing interventions that are respected and embraced by the community.
- Operational Strategy: Multi-Stakeholder Engagement
To achieve systemic change, PBL works through a collaborative ecosystem. We maintain close operational ties with the private sector, partner NGOs/CBOs, government agencies, educational institutions, and local communities to implement and scale our programs effectively.
